New York City September 2007
I had the most wonderful opportunity to visit New York City with my sister Jamie. Of course I visited all the major tourist spots ! The Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building, Ground Zero, Wall Street, Rockefeller Center, The Brooklyn Bridge, Chinatown, Little Italy, SoHo, etc... What an amazing city!
One of my most memorable eveings in NYC, I spent in Little Italy with Jamie and her boyfriend Bryan. I had the most delicioius meal I have ever eaten anywhere!!
I was lucky enough to go see my favorite play, Les Miserables, on Broadway! It was truly amazing and everything I had hoped for.
And, of course, I went to several museums, but my most favorite was the Moma. (Museum of Modern Art) This museum held me captive even more so than Le Louvre and The Musee D'orsay in Paris. I had studied these artists and paintings for so long and it was a dream come true to actually see them up close and personal and not from a book or slide.
Another of my favorite nights, I spent by myself wandering Times Square. Not only did I get to go into Ripley's Believe it or Not (which is Eddie and I's favorite!), but I happened upon a bunch of celebrities (Willie Nelson, Darryl Hannah, Woodie Harrelson, and more), got a bag full of PURPLE M&M's, and met a delightful group of NYPD.
On our last day in NYC, Jamie and I got caught in a thunderous downpour of rain. We were soaked to the bone, but still managed to take a very wet bicycle tour of Central Park.
On our last night, Jamie and I stayed at the Marriott Marquee on Times Square. Not only is this an incredible and unheard of experience, but because Jamie has conncections, we got it for an awesome price. I made so many great memories there with my sister.
